Red Lentil Curry

  • red lentils0.5 cup
  • oil1 tbsp
  • tomatoes2
  • chillie powder1 tsp
  • turmeric powder0.25 tsp
  • jeera powder0.25 tsp
  • chicken masala1 tsp
  • garlic2
  • ginger1 tsp
  • salt0.5 tsp
  • coriander leaves

Method

    Wash the lentils well

  2. 2

    Add the lentils to instant pot and add 1 ยฝ cups water. Pressure cook for 10 minutes.

    Allow the steam to settle. Release the pressure

  4. 4

    Once the onions become translucent, add the chopped tomatoes, let it cook well

  5. 5

    Add crushed ginger and garlic and fry well

  6. 6

    Add chillie powder, chicken masala, turmeric powder and cumin powder, fry well.

    Add the cooked lentils and mix well add salt and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

    Garnish with coriander leaves.
