Pickle gooseberry

- mustard seeds1 tsp
- fenugreek seed0.5 tsp
- red chillies6
- turmeric a pinch
- asafoetida a pinch
- gingely oil0.25 cup

Wash and dry the goose berry.

Make markings in the berry on the lines

Place it in the oven for 15 minutes in a greased pan at 180 degrees ( preheat for 10 minutes)

Fry the mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds in a pan

Add little oil and add the red chillies.

Grind mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies and 1tsp rock salt. Then add turmeric powder and asafoetida.

In a pan add oil and add mustard seeds. Once it splutter add the gooseberry and fry for about 2-3 minutes.

Then switch off the stove and add the grinded powder and mix well.

Allow it to cool and store in a container.
