Ingredients (10)

  • urad dhal: 1 cup
  • rice flour: 4 cups
  • salt:
  • cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • sesame seeds: 2 tsp
  • butter: 100 g
  • oil: for deep frying
  • press and shape the murukku onto a clean plate or parchment paper
  • gently slide the shaped murukku into the hot oil
  • store in an airtight container to maintain freshness and crispness

    Prepare the Urad Dhal Paste:

    Wash and soak the urad dhal for 30 minutes.

    Rice โ€“ 4 cups ( soak for 4 hours and grind into smooth paste.)

    Urad dhal โ€“ 1 cup ( roast the dhal and grind in a mixie and sift so that the flour smooth)

    Butter โ€“ 100 gms to 150 gms

    Cumin seeds โ€“ 1tsp
