Lemon Rice

Ingredients (8)

  • ponni rice1 cup
  • oil1 tbsp
  • mustard seeds0.25 tsp
  • groundnuts1 tbsp
  • green chillies2
  • turmeric powder0.13 tsp
  • salt1 tsp
  • coriander leaves1 tbsp

Method

    Cook rice with 2 and ΒΌ cup of water and transfer to a wide vessel and allow the rice to come to room temperature. Add lemon juice to the rice

    Add oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.

    Add Groundnuts and cook in a slow flame.

  4. 4

    Add green chillies, and turmeric powder. Add curry leaves if available

  5. 5

    Add this to the rice and mix so that all the rice becomes yellow in colour.
