  • for sponge
  • all purpose flour1.5 cup
  • sugar1 cup
  • salt0.5 tsp
  • baking soda1 tsp
  • baking powder1 tsp
  • cocoa powder3 tbsp
  • vanilla essence1 tsp
  • lemon juice1 tbsp
  • for frosting
  • tin of condensed milk14 oz
  • cocoa powder4 tbsp
  • butter1 tbsp
  • vanilla essence0.5 tsp

Method

    Cooking time : 30 mts

    Serves : 4 to 6 people

    Take milk and sugar in a deep bowl and whisk together till all sugar gets dissolved with milk.

    Now sieve maida, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cocoa in wet milk and sugar mixture and combine it well.

    Add vanilla essence, mix well.

    Add lemon juice and mix well.

    Transfer mixture in to 8 inch greased tray.

    Bake on 350 deg fahrenheit for 30 mts.

    -------For Frosting---------

    Heat sauce pan on medium heat and add butter, condensed milk and sieve cocoa powder in it.

    Once it becomes thick add vanilla essence, mix well. Frosting is ready.

    -------Decoration-----------

    Top up with some powdered sugar, some chocolate chips, fruits, candy or just keep it plane.

    This cake has slight sticky texture when its fresh, keep it in refrigerator overnight and it will do magic.

    You may also add 1/2 stick of melted butter for richer taste.

    If oven is not available you can simply steam this cake.
